About Me
I am a student at the Academy of Arts, Science, and Technology in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I would like to attend the University of South Carolina to receive my degree in a science major. I intend on later going to medical school to become a physician. I have attended Carolina Forest High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for my freshman and sophomore year, but have decided to transfer to this academy to enhance my knowledge for later in life by choosing the Pre-Medicine program. I believe that hard work pays off and I am willing to work hard to achieve the best.
Attending the Academy for Arts, Science, and Technology has changed my life dramatically. It has made me a more accepting person to people dissimilar to me and unusual situations. In 9th grade I got a “c” in my geometry class, which to me is failure. Ever since then I promised to never get below a “b” in any class again and I have so far kept that promise.
That being said, I have maintained a weighted GPA of 4.22 and an “A” Average throughout high school. All of my academics have been Honors classes except for Global Studies II sophomore year, as it was not offered at Carolina Forest High School. I have sustained this high-quality grade average and GPA throughout many sporting events and after school activities.
