- Fungal Infections: Infection of the skin caused by a fungus.
- Bacterial Infections: ex. MRSA and Impetigo. Infections caused by bacteria.
- Viral Skin Infection: Skin infections caused by viruses.
- Scabies: Caused by mites, highly contagious, typically seen in track marks.
- Neurofibromitosis: Growths on the outside or the inside of the skin.
- Skin Cancer: ex. Melanoma, Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Cancer of the skin.
- Elephantitis: Enlargement of the limbs or scrotum from a worm that lays eggs inside the body.
- Head Lice: When insects nest in the head and lay eggs. It causes itching and red bumps on the head, neck, and shoulders.
- Athlete's Foot: Also known as ringworm of the foot. A fungus infection that causes scaling, flaking, and itching of the infected area.
- Rubella: A viral infection similar to measles. It can cause permanent damage if infected in the first trimester of pregnancy for the child.
