Urinary System Diseases
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): When the prostate gland grows and restricts urination flow.
- Cystitis: An infection of the bladder.
- Pyelonephritis: An infection of the kidneys that makes the blood infected when passing through.
- Renal Failure: When the kidneys shut down, sometimes causing fluid retention, anemia, pericarditis, etc.
- Renal Calculi: Kidney stones, caused when the the normal balance of water, salts, minerals, and other substances found in urine changes
- Prostatitis: Inflammation of the prostate
- Kidney Dysplasia: When the internal structures of one or both of the baby’s kidneys do not develop normally. Fluid-filled sacs called cysts replace normal kidney tissue. May be caused by the mother's exposure to certain drugs or by genetic factors.
